What is a NHVAC Trust Report?
In today's marketplace, the average business can post a few positive reviews and create a company website with very little effort.
How do you know if the HVAC Contractor you have selected is trustworthy?
NHVAC helps combat fraud and fake reviews by doing it's own independent research and releasing a trust report on it's findings for businesses in the HVAC Contractor industry, similar to a HVAC Contractor report card.
NHVAC trust reports allow past, current and potential customers to read reviews of past experiences, check for a valid business license and verify the phone numbers and business addresses that are registered with the state in case a dispute arises.
If a HVAC Contractor has a status of accredited on their trust report, the company listed on the trust report has had their website, business license, address and customer phone number verified and confirmed by NHVAC using a combination of government and private third-party databases. Although a business's status can change, this is the most reliable way to confirm this information.
The National Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Association only recommends doing business with a HVAC Contractor if they display the NHVAC “Trusted” seal on their website.
If a HVAC Contractor has a status of Not Accredited by NHVAC on their trust report, it simply means the company listed on the trust report has NOT had their website, business license, address and customer phone number verified by NHVAC.
This status should in no way express or imply that NHVAC believes that the company listed on the trust report is a fraud or that any of their information or licenses are not valid.
This status only means that NHVAC has not yet had a chance to review the company listed in the report.
If the business has submitted a membership application and it was rejected for any reason, this status will also display.
Please keep in mind that the information we provide should not be considered reliable as much of it is submitted by previous customers and users and many businesses do not feel the need to provide information to reporting agencies like NHVAC. As a result all information provided should simply be used as an unreliable reference. Consumers should confirm all information with the business itself before making any decisions.
